Your kayak will assist with race day expenses and help to inform the hundreds of spectators of the historic British invasion of 1777. The British constructed a bridge of boats across the river near where the Dix Bridge is at Hudson Crossing Park. Planks were strung across bateau that acted like trestle piers and 6,000+ soldiers crossed the waterway there.
As part of Race Day festivities, local businesses are invited to sponsor a Kayak in the "Bridge of Boats". Sponsors will have their names and logos on the Hudson Crossing website and on display at the event.
