Where is the Park? The Park is centered around Champlain Canal Lock 5 Island, just north of Schuylerville, on New York State’s Historic Scenic Byway, Route 4. Use the MAPQUEST form below to get driving directioins to the Park. What is available in the Park? The Park is open from dawn to dusk everyday year-round. (Even if the gate is closed.) Over two miles of trails plus the HCP Play Garden, Picnic Pavilion, and Floating Dock are available at no charge. It is Carry-in / carry-out. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails. No water yet so you should bring your own. Do visitors need to contact someone to use the facilities? All are welcome to use the Park - First Come - First Serve - If it is for a major event, we will reserve a date for you. (i.e. wedding, Birthdays, reunions, etc.). Call Marlene at 859-1462 or use our comment form. Is the bathrooms operable? Porta-Potty is available near the Pavilion. Bathroom is waiting for electricity. Is the picnic pavilion available? Etc. ABSOLUTELY! Several handicap-accessable tables are available. The Pavilion will seat 50+ people. |

IMPORTANT NOTE: - THE GATE IS USUALLY KEPT LOCKED - IF THE DATE/TIME IS RESERVED WE WILL BE SURE IT IS OPEN FOR THE EVENT. IF THEY ARE ARRIVING "UNANNOUNCED" THEY MAY NEED TO PARK OUTSIDE THE GATE AND WALK IN. |
