Cheery Yellow Blossoms Nodding
Our signature daffodils are out in full force at the Play Garden and at the Knox Trail Pocket Park. Why not bring mom out for a stroll on the trails this weekend? While you are there, be sure to visit the fairy-themed lilacs in the Play Garden as part of Schuylerville's Gardener's Weekend and Lilac Festival.
Please note that Festival activities have been RELOCATED to the Saratoga Town Hall due to flooding at Fort Hardy Park- maps reflecting lilac locations will be located at the Town Hall as well.
Speaking of gardening, mark your calendars for our 3rd Annual Fundraiser at the Balet Flowers and Design greenhouses and flower farm. Our thanks to Suzanne for generously offering a portion of sales from this day to the Park!

***NEW*** Online Pre-Registration for August 13th Event
Planning for the 2011 Hudson Crossing Cardboard Boat is well underway, and if you jump right in to building, you just might get to try out your boat while parts of Fort Hardy Park are still underwater!
We extend our concern for all who have been affected by the recent flooding, but would like to turn these lemons into lemonade for all the little avid boaters out there. Sign up on our website to reserve your space in this wildly popular event, then construct a boat now so you can modify its design before the big day. If your boat is complete by August 1st, let us know- there may be a space for it in the Turning Point Parade!

Fantastic Recycled Art Show, Canal Clean Sweep, and Electronics Recycling Day
Inspiration and Action Bookend Earth Week
THANKS to the artists, volunteers, and guests who made our first Recycled Art Show such terrific celebration! To see the winners and photos, visit our website. It was a wonderful kick-off for Earth Week.
The outstanding community involvement continued at Canal Clean Sweep with more than 40 volunteers contributing time to Park clean-up efforts on Sunday, April 17th. We are especially grateful to Julie White's extended family who traveled from all over New York State and beyond to celebrate her birthday by volunteering with us- what a wonderful gift!
Canal Clean Sweep Volunteers break for a photo
Finally, can you believe we collected 10,000 TONS of electronics at our first-ever Electronics Recycling Day on April 22?! We were delighted with the overwhelming response. In addition to cheering for all of the toxic metals and plastics that will be kept out of the landfill, we also appreciated the generosity of many who made monetary donations to the Park along with their no-fee drop-offs. It was truly an Earth-friendly day!
