Artists Give New Life to Old Materials in
2nd Annual Recycled Art Show

Overheard last year: "That's awesome!" and "How clever!" and "I had no idea you could use that to make something so beautiful!" Entries are pouring in from artists of all ages for our Earth Week Recycled Art Show. To learn more about the show, and to find out how to submit your entry, visit http://www.hudsoncrossingpark.org/artshow/

***SPECIAL NOTE*** Two NEW venues this year: A special exhibit of Outdoor Art will be on display on the trails near the Play Garden, from dawn to dusk, for one month starting April 20. Also, as part of the Green Ribbon School partnership, there will be a display of student recycled art at Schuylerville Elementary on Friday, April 27, from 5pm-7:30pm (same night as a spaghetti dinner fundraiser!) Be sure to visit these as well as the Saratoga National Historical Park Visitor's Center to see ALL of the amazing artwork.

Clean Trails, Plant Trees

Join us with your gloves, shovels, clippers, and rakes for our annual clean-up day. Canal-side community members from all over the state show up every year, no matter the weather, and give the parks and trails along the canal system a good cleaning. Volunteers at Hudson Crossing will help clear debris and trash and may be invited to choose a new tree or shrub to plant at the Park (limited availability).

For more details or to reserve a tree to plant, please contact info@hudsoncrossingpark.org.

HCP Selected as "Point of Interest" Partner

by Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission

One of Four Heritage Sites Chosen

We are thrilled to join this outstanding network of impressive places. As announced by ECNHC, the "...partners include outstanding canal-related museums and cultural heritage sites located throughout the National Heritage Corridor. Some have important works of engineering, others have works of art or artifacts, and some highlight the value of the canal today. Together, our partners share the powerful story of the canal's role in shaping New York and the nation."

This award is a testament to the vitality of Hudson Crossing and all it has accomplished. THANKS to everyone who has supported the Park- as a volunteer, with donations, and simply by attending programs and enjoying the outdoors available at HCP!
