More Than 40 Volunteers Pitch In

Thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers who came to the Park and planted, mulched, constructed stairs, collected trash, and generally beautified the gardens and trails for the new season. Because of you, the Park has never looked better!

Trail to the Birding Overlook

Birding Overlook Created on Riverbank

Cleared Area Includes Bench, Naturalizing Plants

There is a new "secret garden" to discover at Hudson Crossing, this time on the shores of the river. Created in honor of Myrtle Berkowitz, the Birding Overlook is north of the Dix Bridge and offers a peaceful spot to watch for wildlife and admire the rolling river. Special thanks to all who have donated their time and plants to create this place, including the members of the Living Waters Church of God outreach group, Fish Creek Garden Center, Jody, Julie, Alan, Marlene, Darryl, Cindy, and Louise. Additional thanks to all who made donations to the Park in Mrs. Berkowitz's name- we hope that you will visit and feel her love of nature as you rest on the lovely bench overlooking the water.

The End...and a Beginning!

It is with overwhelming gratitude that we announce that as of April 25, Marlene Bissell has stepped down as President of the Hudson Crossing Board of Directors. After more than 15 years as a tireless volunteer and leader, she and husband and fellow Board Member Alan are entering a new stage of retirement. They intend to continue to volunteer when possible, but we have now transitioned to a new Council of Vice Presidents who will lead the Board. While each individual VP offers a well-developed area of expertise, together they are a cohesive and powerful group committed to continuing the growth of the Park as a thriving community institution.

From all of us who have benefited from the vision of the Park that you have steadfastly cultivated...

THANK YOU Marlene and Alan!
