Full Moon Owl Prowl

Held on the full moon of every month June – October, this guided program gives participants of all ages the chance to explore the park after dark. A prime birding location, we will keep an eye to the skies and listen for the distinctive calls of some of HCP’s resident owls, such as the Great Horned, Screech, and Barred Owls under the light of the full moon.

Visitors will also learn about how full moons were named (June: Strawberry, July: Buck, August: Sturgeon, etc) and see what other nocturnal park residents may make themselves known.

Group size limited to 20 per excursion. Please register here: https://www.hudsoncrossingpark.org/full-moon-owl-prowls
