Families are invited on a journey through time to explore the rich history of the Champlain Canal. This guided hike traces the river’s story—from Indigenous peoples to canal-era innovations and modern-day boating—and includes a special visit to Stratton’s Shanty, a replica lock tender’s hut.
Back at the pavilion, kids and grown-ups will bring history to life through creative crafts that reflect on the past and imagine the canal’s future. A fun, thoughtful program for families to learn and explore together!
